Classic Pumpkin Pie

Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day! We are so blessed in so many ways!
One of my favorite Thanksgiving season things is the abundance of pumpkin. You could cook so many delicious things with it: soups, pastas and, of course, pumpkin pie.

Classic Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin pure pumpkin
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350F.
- In a large bowl mix eggs, brown sugar, pumpkin, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, maple syrup, 1/4 cup heavy cream and salt until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust and send to oven for 60-65 min.
- Remove pie from the oven and cool down to room temperature.
- Serve with whipped cream on top (optional).
